The Start-up and SME Resource Centre (SSRC) organized the Kick-off Ceremony (“Ceremony”) of the first cohort on 8 April 2021 and four training workshops on 8, 12-14 April 2021.

 

Director of SSRC, Dr. Lawrence Lei introduced the SSRC’s goals, objectives and also the requirements of the consultancy projects. Associate Director, Dr. Thomas Man urged the student consultants to treasure the opportunities of working with different entrepreneurs, and to always maintain strong work ethics and sense of responsibility. Another Associate Director, Ms. Ivy Leung shared with the student consultants about the importance of maintaining integrity and confidentiality.

 

SSRC invited three honurable trainers, Mr. Fred Yung (Founder of Smart Start at HKSTP), Dr. Terence Li (Lecturer of Department of Marketing) and Dr. Haksin Chan (Associate Professor and Head of Department of Marketing), to advance students’ techniques in different areas, such as marketing and branding, consultancy skills, and research methodologies, which are essential skills for the consultancy projects.
